Katelyn Gerhardt

Pink Elephants owner Katelyn Gerhardt was born and raised in North County San Diego.  She has been a nanny for the past 8 years and has always loved being around children.

She has worked with children with disabilities.  She spent four years caring for a child with Autism and ADHD. She has trained with behavioral specialists to understand how to effectively care for children and teens with Autism and other disabilities.

She then went on to study Alcohol and Drug Studies at Palomar College, after which she became an Alcohol and Drug Counselor at a local adolescent outpatient rehabilitation facility. 

Katelyn has also worked countless hours conducting children’s activities poolside at a local resort, where she supervised groups of children, keeping them safe and having a blast. 

She has most recently worked with newborns, infants, toddlers, school-age children, tweens and teens.  Katelyn truly has a passion for children, and providing them the best care possible.

Katelyn is currently pursuing a B.A. degree at UCSD, majoring in Human Development.
